Rudy Project Goes for #5 in a Row at IRONMAN® World Championships Presented by GoPro®

Denver, CO- Rudy Project, a dominant force in the world of triathlon, is attempting to break all records and reign supreme another year as LAVA Magazine’s #1 Most Worn Helmet at the IRONMAN® World Championships Presented by GoPro®. For the last four consecutive years, the toughest triathletes in the world have put their trust in the industry’s most aerodynamically efficient, extremely well-ventilated, and undeniably good looking aero/TT and road helmets engineered by Rudy Project.

“We are thrilled that athletes from all over the world have chosen Rudy Project as their go-to brand for the past four years,” said Paul Craig, President and Co-founder of Rudy Project North America. “Your gear can make or break your spot on the podium or for a PR, so it’s an honor that the best in the world think of Rudy on race day. This year we’re looking forward to smashing our own record and watching our award-winning helmets, like the Wing57, perform on the heads of throngs of Kona racers.”

Not only has Rudy Project dominated the Helmet Count for four years straight, but they have also managed to continually increase their lead over the second place brand. In 2011, Rudy took the win with 211 helmets, a mere 20 helmets over Louis Garneau. In 2012, Rudy Project rolled in with 354 helmets, this time beating Louis Garneau by 122 helmets. Giro made waves in 2013 with 418 helmets, but when the numbers came in, Rudy had 236 more helmet than their second place competitor. Last year, Rudy Project proved their superiority beating Giro by 279 helmets.
