Luke is sold on the outdoors and selling the 'outdoors' for the Midwest Outdoor Sales group, (formerly BPA Associates). He explains how his love of the outdoors has informed his past and present goals: “My parents started taking me outdoors as soon as I was old enough to frequent fishing trips and hunting trips with them. During these trips I developed my love for how quiet and beautiful the north woods of Minnesota and Canada could be. This continued with annual trips to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness with friends, but my fate was sealed with a month-long camping trip with a geology class in college. We spent time in the high desert of Nevada and Utah, and I've never looked back. Since then, I tend to dive headlong into longer trips, including recent trips: backpacking 14 days in Banff Provincial Park, a self-supported canoe expedition to study water quality from Minnesota to Hudson Bay, and most recently a circumnavigation of Lake Superior. The more time I spend outside, the more my passion grows.”

The Midwest Outdoor Group is the perfect fit for Luke's passion for the outdoors and making superior gear available to outdoor enthusiasts. Having started out spending a month in the desert roughing it with his dad’s seven pound sleeping bag, no rain gear, jeans, a duck hunting jacked and a duffel bag, he has come to appreciate the importance of investing in quality gear.

“Since joining the industry with Midwest Mountaineering in Minneapolis, I've grown to love finding the best gear for each individual no matter what outdoor pursuit they have in mind,” Olson said. “From a two-week road trip around Lake Superior, to climbing Mt. Rainier and beyond, there are products that will help anyone enjoy their time in the outdoors to the greatest degree.”
