Yakima Partners with the National Park Foundation to Celebrate National Parks and Encourage Travelers to Hit the Road
– The partnership kicks off with a social media contest for a limited edition Centennial ShowCase cargo box with iconic national parks-themed artwork –
Lake Oswego, Ore. – August 30, 2016 –Yakima Products, Inc. is proud to announce a new partnership with the National Park Foundation – the official charitable partner of the National Park Service, which is celebrating its centennial in 2016. Yakima’s support will help the Foundation’s critical campaigns and programs, as well as raise awareness of its work to preserve and protect these national treasures for future generations.

To kick off the partnership, Yakima has joined together with Oregon artist Adam Haynes to design a custom, limited edition Centennial ShowCase. These cargo boxes feature a unique wrap-around image of iconic national parks, including Crater Lake, Redwood National and State Parks, Mount Rainier, Yosemite, Glacier, Joshua Tree, Everglades, Arches and Great Smoky Mountains. Only 10 are being produced, and they can only be obtained through social media engagement.
The first chance to win a Centennial ShowCase is through the Centennial Contest, which kicked off at Yakima.com on August 24 and runs through September 9. All it takes is a photo – new or old – from a national park. Post the photo using #YakimaNPContest and follow @yakimaracks. Submissions will be entered to win daily prizes, including a signed Adam Haynes National Parks poster. Yakima will draw one name each week to win one of the three grand prize Centennial ShowCase cargo boxes.
