(Newport Beach, CA, January 20, 2016)—ZAMST, a global leader in high-performance sports injury prevention and protective equipment, signs with pro golfer Scott Langley as his sports bracing and support provider.
Langley has been known as one of the rising stars of the golf world since qualifying for the 2010 U.S. open as an amateur. He has had no shortage of success after turning professional in 2011. In his first event as a PGA TOUR member, Langley carded an -8 and led in the first round of the 2013 Sony Open in Hawaii. He ended the third round with a 65, tied for the lead with fellow PGA TOUR rookie Russell Henley.
“Scott Langley is a rising star in golf and we are excited to have him join our team of elite athletes,” said Bryan Smeltzer, GM, Zamst US. “ZAMST sports bracing and supports products provides a superior level of protection and prevention, and aligning with athletes like Scott who excel at their sport and strive to always be at the top of their game allows us to demonstrate the superiority of our products.”
Previously as one of the top amateur golfers in the U.S. and now as an accomplished pro, Langley knows how important injury free training is for success. He wears Zamst’s arm compression sleeves and compression socks during training to help increase circulation and decrease muscle fatigue for optimized performance.
“Zamst is a superior brand within the sports compression and bracing industry and their products are instrumental in my ability to train and compete at my full potential. I am honored to be joining their team,” said Langley.
The team of athletic trainers and sports medicine experts at Zamst will also collaborate with Scott on product feedback for golf-related products and support him with any injury prevention needs.
After boasting his best season on the PGA Tour in 2014, finishing 77th on the FedEx Cup points standing, and tying his best finish on the PGA Tour with a 3rd place finish in the Valspar Championship in March of 2014, Langley’s 2016 season on the PGA Tour is off and running with him making 3 out of 4 cuts thus far with the tour’s West Coast Swing.
Langley will open his 2016 season at the Career Builder Challenge, playing this Thursday, January 21, 2016 through Sunday, January 24, 2016.
