Mountain Hardwear’s StretchDown Jacket Wins Backpacker Magazine Editors’ Choice Award

Richmond, Calif. (August 17, 2016) – Mountain Hardwear, Inc., an outdoor industry leader in product innovation, was recognized last week with the prestigious Backpacker Magazine Editors’ Choice Award for the StretchDown Jacket

The Editors’ Choice Award is given annually to products in recognition of their outstanding innovation in design, materials and performance. All winners must excel under extensive field-testing conducted by Backpacker’s team of editors who take hundreds of products into the backcountry to put them to the test.

Backpacker editors presented the award to Mountain Hardwear at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City, Utah earlier this month.

"It is an incredible honor to receive this award for our StretchDown Jacket," said Mountain Hardwear President John Walbrecht. “When I first came aboard four months ago, this was one of the pieces that I thought most clearly defined what Mountain Hardwear stands for. Being first to innovate and continuing to push the technological boundaries in this industry is why Mountain Hardwear exists as a brand. We look forward to revealing many more innovative products in apparel and equipment in the upcoming seasons.”
