Kammok Partners with Parks Project to Support National Park Foundation’s Open OutDoors for Kids Program

Austin, TX. (Aug 16, 2016) —Kammok, makers of outdoor gear for the city-to-trail adventurer, has partnered with Parks Project, an outdoor brand of quality goods with a purpose, to create the “Hanging in the Parks” initiative. The goal of the initiative is to fund life-changing adventures for disadvantaged youth to visit America’s national parks by supporting the National Park Foundation’s Open OutDoors for Kids program.

Kammok and Parks Project are offering an exclusive product bundle that includes a limited edition forest green Roo hammock and Python straps, a Parks Project “Hanging in the Parks” T-Shirt, and a custom collaboration sticker. The bundle is on sale through December 31, 2016, or until supplies last, and gives consumers the tools to get outside. Through Parks Project, a donation of $10 will go to Open OutDoors for Kids, up to $10,000, for each bundle purchased.

Kammok Hero

Open OutDoors for Kids puts nature at the fingertips of today’s youth through in-person and in-classroom experiences. The program connects more kids to their national parks through fun and engaging activities. Children today are more disconnected from their natural and cultural heritage than ever before -- Open OutDoors for Kids is changing that, building on a child’s innate wonder and curiosity about the natural world. National parks are gateways to self-discovery and learning, Open OutDoors for Kids is making sure all kids from across the country get the chance to experience them.

“This ‘Hanging in the Parks’ project is directly aligned with our mission to Give Adventure™,” said Haley Robison, CEO at Kammok. “It will equip consumers for purpose-driven adventure while promoting outdoor participation and education for underprivileged kids across the nation. We couldn’t be more excited about this collaboration.”

“We are always looking for unique ways to support projects in the parks,” said Keith Eshelman, co-founder of Parks Project. “The youth are the future and it’s important to think generationally with respect to how we are going to stay connected with the parks we use and cherish. The ‘Open OutDoors for Kids’ program is a beautiful story that we are proud to be a part of this summer and we’re excited to continue giving back to our parks and people alike.”

The collaborative bundle will retail for $150.00. To purchase a limited edition “Hanging in the Parks” bundle, visit Kammok.com. For more information on Parks Project visit parksproject.us. For more information on Open OutDoors for Kids, visit www.nationalparks.org/ook.
