Farm to Feet introduces Raleigh with 3D Active Knit Technology for Spring 2017

Mt. Airy, North Carolina — For Spring 2017, Farm to Feet, makers of 100% American socks, introduces the Raleigh with 3D Active Knit Technology. This new technology uses the most advanced knitting methods to create multi-dimensional patterns for the ideal balance of fit, comfort, durability, and performance

“Our 3D Active Knit Technology paired with the best U.S. materials allow us to create innovative designs that support the foot’s structure and movement while managing its micro-environment for specific activities,” said David Petri, Farm to Feet VP of Marketing.

The Raleigh has a low-volume fit and is designed for running and other aerobic activities where heat build up and ventilation are key concerns. Using 3D Active Knit Technology, the Raleigh features multiple targeted venting and cushioning zones for superior performance and comfort.

Its sole features sculpted half-density cushioning creating a distinct dimple pattern that is engineered to enhance ventilation and comfort while minimizing bulk and weight. The sock also features full density cushioning in the heel cup and toe for additional comfort.

An extruded diamond pattern on the sock’s instep provides increased durability and lacing comfort, while alternating bilateral mesh panels on the sides enhance breathability for superior temperature regulation.

The Raleigh features Farm to Feet’s Comfort Compression Fit which ensures that the sock stays in place with each stride and reduces foot fatigue. Its seamless toe closure reduces bulk in the toe box while minimizing the potential for blisters.

The Raleigh is built on Farm to Feet’s state of the art 200 needle machines with 19.5 micron U.S. wool. The paring of the fine grade merino yarn with these machines allows Farm to Feet to create the lightest socks in the most intricate designs. Additionally, wool’s inherent properties of moisture, heat and antibacterial management are further enhanced with the 3D Active Knit Technology.

Raleigh Construction Materials:

The Raleigh will be offered in low, quarter crew, and crew heights in men’s and women’s styles ranging in price from $18-$21 depending on height.

Raleigh is named for the capital of Farm to Feet’s home state of North Carolina and home to North Carolina State University College of Textiles, the premiere textile college in the nation. Farm to Feet selected to name the sock after the college as it and its parent Nester Hosiery, have a close working relationship with the college and a number of its employees are graduates.
