Gregory Launches the Grandeur Series with Three New Backpacks and Reintroduces the Alpaca and Stash Duffels for Fall 2015

Gregory, the world’s leading pack maker for over 35 years, introduces the Grandeur series, a new line of packs built for modern active lifestyles. The initial offering in the series includes three 28-liter packs that can easily transition from the office to the outdoors.

“Our three new Grandeur packs appeal to a really wide range of customers,” says John Sears, Gregory’s vice president of design and development. “Whether jumping on a long board to get to class, carrying your laptop and projector to an important business presentation, or heading out for a hike after work, this new collection provides incredible versatility while still delivering the comfort and durability our longtime customers have come to expect.”

The new Patos 28, Matia 28, and Sucia 28 packs all feature the Gregory comfort harness with padded shoulder straps, a suspended 15-inch laptop sleeve, side water bottle pockets, an ergonomic foam back panel, and a hydration port. The Patos 28 is designed to combine technical savvy with everyday utility and includes dual trekking pole loops and removable retainers for securing poles, plus daisy chains to carry additional gear. The Matia 28 is perfect for campus as its side compression straps do double duty as a skateboard holder. The Sucia 28 is for the all-around active outdoor user with an external open stretch pocket and internal organization that makes it easy to separate office tools from workout gear. All three packs will retail for $99.

In addition to the new Grandeur series, Gregory has redesigned its popular line of duffel bags to provide even better gear transport, whether for expeditions to remote locations, or hustling from the gym to the airport. “Duffels are indispensable pieces of gear that everyone should have in their quiver so we’ve redesigned ours with upgraded materials and additional features to make them even more appealing,” added Sears.

The Alpaca expedition duffels are now lighter than ever before thanks to a new TPU-coated, diamond-weave-reinforced body fabric, which is far more abrasion-resistant and tear-resistant that than its predecessor. Lockable zippers add security while traveling and double bar-tacked daisy chains provide secure attachments when attaching the bags to yak or rack. Available in 115, 95, 65, and 45-liter versions in four different colors, the bags have been reduced in price and now retail for $169, $149, $129, and $115.

The new Stash duffels are more durable and portable than their predecessors. Streamlined design and packable materials ensure that these bags will go unnoticed until they’re needed. A large opening with full-length zipper provides a massive entry to the bag, a removable sling strap allows the bag to be carried in multiple ways, and each stash duffel comes with a mesh stuff sack that is perfect for carrying the bag when empty or separating out dirty laundry. The duffels are available in three colors in 115, 95, 65, and 45-liter sizes. They will retail for $99, $89, $79, and $69 respectively.

The full line of Gregory’s Fall 2015 products, including new colors in the Alpine series, will be on display at the 2015 OR Winter Market at Gregory booth #5037 in the Salt Palace Convention Center. To make a media appointment, please contact Cory Lowe at
