AlterG’s Anti-Gravity Treadmill Wins Best Equipment At British Sports Technology Awards


California-based AlterG and its revolutionary Anti-Gravity treadmill were winners at this year’s Sports Technology Awards held in London, UK.

Taking home the prize for Best Equipment or Kit, AlterG was in a competitive and varied category, but the Anti-Gravity Treadmill triumphed over international sports technology and therapy companies including Bodyflow International, Life Fitness, Partner Ball Rugby, TRUSOX and Wahoo Fitness.

European sales director Trevor Donald said, “I am so delighted our technology that has already benefited thousands of Sportspeople and clinicians across a range of disciplines has officially been recognised as the Best Equipment by such a well-qualified panel of Judges.”

The Sports Technology Awards are in their second year and provide an international kitemark, a UK product and service quality certification mark, of excellence across all aspects of the sports sector, including elite competitors, officials, clinicians, amateur sports people and fans.

The judging panel spanned a huge range of expertise and included Former Vice Chairman of the Football Association David Dein and elite British athletes such as Marlon Devenish MBE and Tessa Sanderson CBE.
