Golden, CO (June 30, 2014)—Mountainsmith, craftsmen of iconic backcountry equipment and recreational outdoor gear, is excited to announce the addition of long-time outdoor industry veteran Ray Ferrand as its new Mid-Atlantic sales rep.
“We’re excited to be working with Ray Ferrand,” said Mountainsmith President Jason Getzel. “His depth of knowledge and dedication to the retailers in this region is going to be a tremendous asset to us.”
Based in New Hyde Park, New York, Ferrand started Ferrand Associates in 1986 and currently reps Sherpa Adventure Gear, ENO, Point6, TrekSta, Perfect Storm, Snow Peak and Tilley. He was awarded the 2001 OIA Leadership Award, and has twice served as president of the EORA.
“I’m thrilled to be working with Mountainsmith,” said Ferrand. “In the museum of gear I have collected in this business since 1973, the oldest piece of gear that I still use is a Mountainsmith lumbar pack and they still make the model. This brand is not only iconic, it is still relevant.”
