It’s time to start submitting your new products and story ideas for potential coverage in this year’s Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2017 Daily, the show’s official publication. The O.R. Daily, published by SNEWS, strives to represent every company in our five issues distributed at the show, but that requires your help in following the submission guidelines and deadlines below. We typically receive more content than we have room to fit into the publication, so be sure to read and follow all the directions and meet deadlines below to increase your chances of being included.

>> New Product Gallery The O.R. Daily New Product Gallery gives your brand the opportunity to submit new products debuting at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2017. Submit only NEW products — likely those slated to hit retail in fall/winter 2017 — to be considered for free publication. We get hundreds more submissions than we have slots to fill, so we’re looking for the most innovative and exciting new products. An old favorite in a new color just won’t cut it.

We use a web form for exhibitors to submit products, which helps simplify the process. That makes it extremely important for you to provide exactly the information necessary, as outlined below. Click here to register and begin. You must submit all required information by Friday, Nov. 4 in order to be considered for inclusion. Please include your email address somewhere in your submission so that we can contact you with questions if necessary.

You are welcome and encouraged to submit multiple products to this section, but keep in mind that each brand likely will receive only one product placement in the New Product Gallery to ensure balanced coverage. Please create a separate entry for each new product submitted. This is your chance to tell us what you will have new at the show. We may also use these submissions to include in any product trend coverage throughout the O.R. Daily, so make sure we know what makes it great! Make the description straightforward, detailing any key features, innovation or fabric and materials. Please avoid cutesy language and unconfirmed superlatives (“the best ski,” “the world’s favorite boot,” “the first/only pole of its kind”). We reserve the right to cut entries for space and to remove claims we cannot confirm (“the lightest ever…”). Please use the following examples as a guide:

  • The CW-X StabilityX Ventilator ¾-length tights feature targeted support for the hips, core, quadriceps, hamstrings and knees, with large stretch-mesh cooling panels on the quads. The panels help reduce fatigue due to overheating muscles, while the Coolmax/Lycra base material wicks moisture away from the skin to further cool the body during exercise. (MSRP $100) #38163 CW-X.com
  • The Industrial Revolution Morakniv Eldris is a pocket-size fixed-blade knife. It has a 2mm-thick, semi-matte stainless steel blade and a ground spine that’s compatible with a Firestarter. The Eldris features a Scandinavian Grind and a symmetrical polymer handle with a built-in lock for safe handling. (MSRP $30) #40 industrialrev.com

Your submission should be no longer that 100 words and must be written in complete sentences. Include the complete product name within the description. You must submit a HIGH-RESOLUTION photo of each product — this usually means the photo is greater than 5 inches wide or tall at 300 dpi. Please work with your photography department to ensure that the photo is hi-res. Help us avoid mistakes by naming your photo “CompanyName_ProductName” Eg. “TheNorthFace_CatsMeowSleepingBag.” This is extremely important.

Please make sure that the photo’s file name does NOT include any spaces and/or symbols. If you have any further questions, please email: snewsedit@aimmedia.com

>> Events  SNEWS has set up a similar web form to submit any events, happy hours, and free stuff & donations* being conducted at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2017. You may edit your submissions up to the deadline. You must fill out the form completely by Monday, Dec. 19, 2016 to be considered for this free listing in the O.R. Daily. Click here to register and begin.

*Note that show guidelines stipulate that you are not permitted to sell anything at Outdoor Retailer unless all the money is donated to a legitimate 501(c)3 nonprofit company. If you have any further questions, or changes to your submission, please email: snewsedit@aimmedia.com
