Triletics is one of six new exhibitors to the Health and Fitness Business Expo this year, set for Sept. 18 and 19 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Recently SNEWS chatted with Michael-Paul Anthony from Triletics about the company’s new product, its goals at HFB and how Triletics Cardio Bands are different from other products on the market.

Triletics' system, which attaches to an elliptical, stationary bike, treadmill or a user's waist or ankles, uses resistance technology that adjusts from moderate to difficult. The product is lightweight and easy to pack, making it one of those pieces travelers might like to tote around with them.

Why did you decide to exhibit at HFB?
At Triletics, we are always looking for the best setting to display our patented product. The HFB is a world-renowned [trade show] and we wanted to be a part of what the best has to offer.

What are you most looking forward to about the show?
We are looking forward for the opportunity to show the fitness world what it has been missing, the chance to be able to display the full versatility of Triletics Cardio Bands and [to] give people a real first-hand experience at the development in Resistance Training Technology.

Tell us about the history of your company.
Triletics was founded on the belief that being healthy shouldn’t have any restrictions. We wanted people to work out anywhere, anytime and however they wanted and not cause any friction on the fast-paced society we live in today. That is why we developed the Triletics Cardio Band, an easy-to-use portable resistance trainer with the functionality of a full-size gym and the ability to take it and use it, wherever and whenever you want.

What makes your product different from others on the market?
The patents we hold are the biggest differences we have against the competition. The versatility of our product has never been seen before in the fitness industry. You can attach our portable resistance trainer to any piece of cardio equipment and get a full-body workout while doing a cardio exercise, you can do standalone exercises with the product around your waist and get a full body workout, you can take this on a business trip or on a vacation. The possibilities are endless when you get into Triletics Cardio Bands.

What are your goals at HFB?
We have high expectations at HFB. We are proud of our developments here at Triletics and want to share our innovations in Resistance Training Technology with as many people as possible. Our goals are to connect with the right people to give us the gateway necessary to share Triletics Cardio Bands and our love of fitness.

What are some challenges you see facing the fitness industry and how can we address them?
One big challenge I see in the fitness industry today is the ability to meet the demands of a fast-paced society. Everybody today is on the go and that creates a serious challenge when it comes to fitness. People are used to working out with weights and usually have to block out long periods of the day to get fitness training in. With the development of Triletics Cardio bands, we have been able to solve this problem. Having a lightweight Portable Resistance Trainer gives you the ability to get a full-body workout anywhere in half the time. This is crucial to managing your time and keeping in shape.

What is the best business advice you've ever received?
The best advice I ever received was actually during a business conference that I attended a few years back. To this day I have been trying to remember who said it. The quote was, “Everything is figure-outable.” I don’t even think that is a real word but it’s stuck with me since the moment I heard it. There is always a way of getting something done and developing that process along the way gives you a great learning experience that you can carry with you forever.

What do you like most about working in the fitness industry?
The thing that I like the most about working in the fitness industry is also my greatest reward: The ability to help people. I feel like the product I have developed will give the opportunity to help a lot of people and change their lives.
