COTTAGE GROVE, Wis. (July 14, 2009) – Johnson Health Tech North America (JHTNA) is pleased to announce that Chris Adsit, Strength Product Manager, was nominated by the YMCA of Dane County for the organization's Key Leadership Award. It was announced this spring that Adsit received the award for the state of Wisconsin for his volunteer efforts. Adsit was one of approximately 30 people to be recognized across the state.

Key Leadership Awards are presented annually by the YMCA on a national level to honor groups, organizations or individuals for their volunteer efforts. Key Leaders are nominated by Executive Directors from each YMCA and are selected for outstanding, dedicated service to the organization.

Adsit currently serves as Chairman of the Northeast (Sun Prairie) Program and Member Services Advisory Committee, where he has volunteered for the last five years. During this time, Adsit also served as Chairman of the Northeast Branch Strong Kids Campaign and is currently Chairman for the entire YMCA of Dane County Strong Kids Campaign and an active member of the Financial Development Committee for the association.

Strong Kids is an annual campaign that raises funds to support the YMCA's membership and program scholarships. Adsit says he feels strongly about the program because his family had benefited from a YMCA scholarship, and he now wants to “give back.” His passion lies, as is evident from his position at JHTNA, in the health and fitness field. As such, he wants as many families as possible to be afforded the opportunity to benefit from the YMCA's diverse programs, regardless of their ability to pay.
