LAS VEGAS, NEV.-- XYIENCE ® introduces Cherry Lime to the line-up of flavors for Xenergy®, the official energy drink of the Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC®). During these uncertain economic times, comfort flavors rank as a top trend for 2009, according to the December issue of Flavor & The Menu magazine*. In the beverage category, Latin refresher flavors top the list. The new Xenergy flavor combines the nostalgic taste of cherry, reminiscent of the 1950s soda fountains, with a twist of the traditional Latin flavor of lime. It hits retail shelves in January 2009. The Las Vegas–based brand is known for its sugar-free and calorie-free energy drinks, which contain only 2 grams of carbs. Cherry Lime will join six existing Xenergy flavors, all available in 16-ounce cans: Cran Razz, Mango Guava, Blu Pom, Citrus Clear, Pink Lemon and Big Apple.
