Easley, S.C. (Sept. 14, 2011) - Gauley Fest turns 28 years young this year and Wave Sport is continuing its support of the fundraiser and celebration with the donation of a Wave Sport Project X. The festival is the largest river festival in the world and the biggest, single fundraising event for American Whitewater. Gauley Fest will be held September 16-18, 2011.
Wave Sport has been a longtime supporter of American Whitewater and believes in taking every opportunity to get out on the river. To that end, Wave Sport will have a booth at Gauley Fest and will be raffling off a brand new Project X 56 to one lucky winner. Tickets are $5.00 each, or $12.00 for three. All proceeds from the raffle benefit the good work of American Whitewater.
There is another way to earn a raffle ticket and Wave Sport swag. Wave Sport is soliciting the finest footage of Gauley carnage, creativity and cool. The top five submissions will earn one raffle ticket for the Project X, plus extra Wave Sport swag. For more details, check out the Wave Sport community at http://wavesport.ning.com. Wave Sport welcomes all submissions, but you must be present at Gauley Fest, on Saturday, September 16, to win the boat.
Stop by the Wave Sport booth to meet Team Wave Sport athletes, check out the latest in Wave Sport gear, and to relax with games and a cold beer.
About Wave Sport:
Wave Sport was founded in 1986 with a dedication to all things whitewater, and that philosophy holds true today. For Wave Sport, paddling is a journey - over the course of a day, a year or a lifetime. Some journeys are destined for the chilled out fun of surfing a local, glassy wave, while the journey for others may culminate in a first descent of some remote and enormous drop. For those who believe that paddling isn’t just an activity, it’s a way of life, Wave Sport welcomes you to the ride. Join the Wave Sport Community at www.wavesport.com.
