While brands rush to grab stake in the growing market of soft sided coolers, Seattle Sports cools their heels with 2 new models of Frostpak Coolers, domestically manufactured since 1998

New for 2015- Inspired by an industry wide movement to reinvent core outdoor products for the millennial market, Seattle Sports introduces the 20qt Cooler Tote (SRP $59.95) and the 44qt Zip Top Cooler (SRP $79.95) to its established line of Frostpak Soft Coolers. With a focus on ease of transport and maximum thermal efficiency, the company expects its new cooler models to be a hit among its core consumer base in addition to new consumer groups- the weekend warrior and the urban adventurer. “Our soft-sided coolers have been very popular for years among hard-core users such as expedition leaders, sailboat racing teams and canoeists, and we are very excited to usher in a new generation of Frostpak- something that is geared toward the everyday- that is a useful and relevant addition to a day at a remote beach, or a family car-camping trip,” says Seattle Sports National Sales Manager Brendan Collins.

FrostPak: A Legacy- While these two models are new to the FrostPak line, Seattle Sports’ domestically manufactured line of coolers has been leading the soft-sided market segment since 1998. Respected for their long history of manufacturing waterproof seam welded dry bags popular amongst paddlers, divers and sportsmen, Seattle Sports applies the same radio-frequency seam welded 18oz vinyl construction to its FrostPak Coolers. Combined with a waterproof liner, this construction prevents melted ice from penetrating insulation, keeping snacks and beverages colder longer. “We love these coolers, which is the reason [they] were literally our first and only choice for the expedition… I bought some other soft-sided coolers and they pale in comparison to the durability and cold retention of the FrostPak,” says Japan to Korea kayak expedition leader Michael Reid, “they are really tough bags and they showed their worth on the expedition.”

Frostpak Coolers are currently available in their original 12qt (SRP $47.95), 19qt (SRP $49.95), 25qt (SRP $64.95), and 40qt (SRP $74.95) styles. New 20qt Cooler Tote and 44qt Zip Top Cooler models are available in Red and Blue and will be available for shipment January 2015.
