What’s UP Public Relations Adds More Social Media with New Site Updates

Denver Colo, July 31, 2014 What’s UP PR, an outdoor and snow sport industry public relations and consulting firm announces the hire of Alise Bailey in a social media expansion in conjunction with the introduction of a revamped and redesigned site, created by John Spellman.

What’s UP PR

Founder and CEO Beth Cochran is a business pioneer. Serving international and national clients since 1997, her firm has been one of the first satellite companies in the business of communications and brand marketing for the outdoor industry. Prior to today’s trends in outsourced experts, she founded What’s UP on the principals that provide immediate, public relations, brand positioning and marketing expertise to both new and established high-end specialty manufacturers in the outdoor, ski, and sport industries. The firm is solution-based to expanding and contracting specialty manufacturers.

In addition to public relations, Cochran’s firm also offers event planning, promotions, and athlete programs. Honored with top rankings in the industry, Cochran has been a guest writer for the Outdoor Retailer Journal, a Rotarian business exchange delegate, Founding Member of the Children’s Museum of Bozeman, and served five years as a board member of the Outdoor Industry Women’s Coalition (OIWC).

Cochran continues to partner on projects with the talented likes of SOAR COMMUNICATIONS founder Chip Smith with Ian Connor, as well as SPARK IDEAS with founder Peter Downing. Collaboration makes for a strong creative platform for clients with diverse needs.

In Whats UP’s efforts to constantly evolve and create a strong strategic environment, the firm has added new hire Alise Bailey to join Sydney Halle to support the social media team.

Alise Bailey: Social Media Coordinator

Alise is the newest member of the What’s UP team and provides social media and PR support. She balances the demands and creativity of Outdoor and Ski social media channels, while blogging about her travels around the world. Alise is a rising senior at the University of Denver, studying International Studies and Leadership. She holds various leadership positions in philanthropic and professional organizations, and recently returned from living in Africa. When she’s not being a social media guru, you can find her hiking, skiing, running, or practicing yoga. Alise@whatsuppr.com

She has worked with What’s UP since 2013 and contributes to client projects on a contractual basis. Her creativity and attention to detail have allowed her to succeed in the outdoor, ski, travel and luxury lifestyle industries. With an international business background, Sydney has worked with domestic and international clients to elevate brand image and market share. She may be a native Marylander, but Sydney calls Colorado home and enjoys hiking, skiing, yoga, fresh eats and worldwide travel.
