St. George, UT – UltrAspire™ launches this summer with athlete-inspired hydration packs and systems developed by Bryce Thatcher, the founder of Ultimate Direction and recent product designer at Nathan. Poised to make an impact, UltrAspire™ is building its national team of sales reps – reps who know what performance means, and are ready to run ahead of the curve.
Focused on the specialty run and outdoor markets, UltrAspire™ is born from aspiration, inspiration, and perspiration. It is athlete-based, and delivers cutting-edge ideas and designs. Thatcher calls on his rich experience, but makes it clear that this is a new direction, not just a new coat of paint on past products. “UltrAspire™ takes performance hydration to a new place,” says Thatcher. “This is truly the next generation.”
With many patents to his name – and more pending, Thatcher has a history of delivering revolutionary designs – designs that speak to consumers and inspire companies’ growth. In the late 1980’s Thatcher created the hydration category when he founded Ultimate Direction in a Utah garage. When he sold the company in 1999, Ultimate Direction was the leading brand in specialty run, with broad distribution in the US and around the world. His next challenge was Nathan Sports. Thatcher took control of product design in 2003 and helped build Nathan into a major player in the worlds of specialty run and outdoor. In his seven-year tenure Nathan’s sales grew 1000% - one thousand. Now it’s time for UltrAspire™.
