SAN FRANCISCO (July 9, 2014) - Timbuk2, a pioneer of made-in-America customization and industry leading designer of urban gear, today announces the appointment of Patti Cazzato as CEO. As the company celebrates its 25th year, Cazzato will assume her role effective immediately.
An experienced leader, merchant and entrepreneur, Cazzato has spent nearly three decades in the soft goods space, working to build high-profile brands such as Esprit, Sam & Libby, Gap and Levi Strauss. In 2007, she founded an eco-conscious, yoga apparel retailer in San Francisco.

Working domestically or internationally with large and small brands, and across wholesale and direct to consumer, Patti has led from a place of values and passion, has consistently built strong teams and delivered great results.”

Cazzato launched her career in San Francisco with sales and merchandising positions at Esprit, Sam & Libby and Ann Taylor prior to joining Gap International in 1993. There she served as Senior Vice President, working to grow the business over an eight-year period from $650 million to $1.7 billion, and from approximately 200 to 650 retail stores.
In 2005, Cazzato joined Levi’s as Senior Vice President to lead the expansion of the company’s women’s business, and played an instrumental role in the team that created Levi’s eco-line. She left the corporate realm to launch her own company in 2007, Clary Sage Organics, a sustainable clothing and yoga collection hand-sewn in San Francisco with all organic, pesticide-free fabrics. Cazzato also received B corps certification, which is qualified by B Lab, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that serves a global movement of entrepreneurs using the power of business to solve social and environmental problems.
Cazzato currently resides in San Francisco with her two teenage children. A devoted yoga practitioner, she has served on the board of the Iyengar Yoga Association of Northern California.
