ST. PAUL, MN (November 12, 2007) – In honor of becoming an official supplier to the U.S. and Canadian Alpine Ski teams, Thinsulate insulation is teaming up with Spyder Active Sports to launch their “Join the Team” Sweepstakes. The two brands have come together to kick off the ski season and offer up some fantastic prizes, listed below, to participants in both the U.S. and Canada. The sweepstakes is the first of many programs that Thinsulate insulation will launch this winter to mark 30 years of innovation in the snowsports market.

To enter, U.S. and Canadian consumers can log onto: www.JoinTheTeamSweeps.com and fill out an entry form. Links to the entry form will appear on both Spyder and Thinsulate insulation websites as well as SkiRacing.com. Additionally, sweepstake entry forms and Official Rules will be available at the men's World Cup races at the 2007 Charles Schwab Birds of Prey Race Week at Beaver Creek Resort (November 29-December 2) where Thinsulate insulation, a “Platinum Circle Sponsor” of the event, will be on-site at a tent easily accessible to race spectators near the finish area.

The official “Join the Team” drawing will be conducted on February 2, 2008, for both U.S. and Canadian participants. Winners will receive their prize packages in September 2008 – in plenty of time for next year's ski season. Thinsulate insulation is pleased to be celebrating “30 Years of Innovation” in 2008. It's been nearly three decades since 3M first began inventing a family of products that captured consumers' attention: thin insulation that provides warmth without bulk. Thus, the Thinsulate brand was born -- the first thin synthetic insulation that gave consumers new choices beyond down and wool to keep warm and comfortable. This revolutionary insulation has been embraced by apparel manufacturers, retailers and consumers alike and has since become one of the most well-known insulation brands on the market today.
