October 18, 2010 (Monarch Beach, Calif.) – The Adventure Life, the online magazine devoted to outdoor adventure in all its forms, today announced its next growth step; an expansion to a new, broader portal now known as Adventure Journal (www.adventure-journal.com). Loyal fans and new visitors to Adventure Journal will appreciate the clean, open design, original voice, and authentic adventurous content emblematic of The Adventure Life, now enhanced with expanded features and services.

"The Adventure Life title worked when we first launched as a blog," said founder and editor Steve Casimiro. "As we expand, Adventure Journal much better reflects the scope and ambition as a full-featured and well-rounded online magazine."

The first step toward broader content and service is Adventure Journal's new print store, also found at www.bestoutdoorphotos.com. Outdoor enthusiasts can now buy art-quality photograph prints from some of the world's top adventure photographers, including Kevin Arnold, Chris Burkard, Jimmy Chin, Jordan Manley, Scott Markewitz, David McLain, Jason Murray, Ryan Tatar, Amy Vitale, and more, many of whom shoot for National Geographic and other acclaimed media.

“This is the first online gallery and store where outdoor lovers can buy artful, creative, and stunning adventure prints,” said Casimiro. “As more of our media becomes digital, many of us find an even stronger longing for the physical. Photos from the Adventure Journal print store satisfy that need.”

The print store features only the most unique photos capturing skiing, surfing, mountain biking and dramatic landscapes and waterscapes depicting the world's wildest and most serene places. Prints are available in a wide variety of formats and sizes, with framing and matting options. An interactive shopping cart allows for previewing various mats and frames as well as bulk ordering.
