Performance textile maker completes re-branding with strong position on the environment

Hampton, New Hampshire—Sympatex, a manufacturer of windproof, waterproof, and breathable laminates used in clothing, footwear, and accessories, recently announced its new brand motto: “if nature had a choice.”

The new tagline—which will accompany Sympatex's logo on future marketing communications--embodies the company's long heritage as an eco-minded manufacturer. Sympatex membranes, for example, are made from polyester-ether, which is free from toxic substances, biodegradable, and one of the easiest synthetic textile products to recycle. Sympatex pioneers the textile industry with state-of-the art technologies like Bionic Finish Eco, the first durable, water-repellant textile treatment made without fluorocarbons. And Sympatex carries Bluesign certification for its rigorous environmental, health, and safety efforts.

“Manufacturing in ways that are compatible to the environment is certainly a trend in textiles, and Sympatex's practices and products continually demonstrate leadership in this area,” says Dennis Hannon, general manager, Sympatex USA. “Our new motto—“if nature had a choice”—highlights our philosophy of respecting the environmental conditions where we live, work, and play,” says Hannon.

Sympatex's new motto follows the company's recent logo re-design. In April 2008, Sympatex freshened up its look with a stylized, three-triangle logo which, according to the company, reflects Sympatex's position as a modern, innovative brand for functional technology.

“Innovation and safeguarding the environment go hand in hand at Sympatex, and we are clearly communicating our core values through our new branding,” says Hannon.
