Superfeet Joins GoPro Mountain Games as Gold Sponsor
December 21, 2015 (Ferndale, Wash.) — Superfeet, the maker of superior insoles and footwear for the active lifestyle, has agreed to join the GoPro Mountain Games as a gold level sponsor of the upcoming 15th anniversary celebration of mountain lifestyle, sports, music and culture.
Superfeet will sponsor the Mountain Games’ Superfeet 10K and Superfeet 5K races at the upcoming event, scheduled to take place in Vail, Colo., June 9-12, 2016. Everyone who signs up for the Superfeet-sponsored races will receive a free pair of insoles.
“The Mountain Games and Superfeet make a perfect pair,” said Superfeet’s Vice President of Marketing and Product, Eric Hayes. “The enthusiasm and energy at the event is overflowing, and there are a lot of feet doing a lot of hard work at this event. We look forward to seeing our insoles play a part in making the event that much more comfortable for the competitors.”
Approximately 3,000 outdoor athletes, along with an estimated 62,000+ spectators converge on Vail, Colorado’s, mountains and rivers each June to compete in nine sports and 25 disciplines for over $115,000 in prize money at the Mountain Games.
One of the key components of success for the Mountain Games has been its open format, which allows citizen runners to toe the line right alongside some of the best runners in America. Superfeet ambassadors are also expected to compete in the events right alongside runners from around the country who come to Vail each year to join in the fun and kick off the summer.
“One of the key components of the Mountain Games is the ‘pros and joes’ aspect of the event,” said Dave Dressman, Vice President of Sales for the Vail Valley Foundation. “We are very pleased that Superfeet is contributing at the Gold Sponsorship level to this special event, and we look forward to working with the Superfeet team and their athletes to help make this year’s running events the best we’ve ever held.”
