STANWOOD & PARTNERS HOLDS THIRD ANNUAL RUNNING MEDIA EVENT

JACKSON HOLE, WYO. -- (May 19, 2006) – Strategic Events, the in-house special events company of Stanwood & Partners Public Relations, has just wrapped up another endurance running and training media event.

The event was held May 9-12, at Zap Fitness, a non-profit training center for post-collegiate, Olympic hopeful distance runners, located in Blowing Rock, NC, in the Blue Ridge Mountains, outside of Asheville. Sponsored by Asics, PowerBar, SmartWool and SportsArt Fitness, the camp drew staff writers from Outside, Self, Running Times, GearTrends, and Jane, as well as freelancers for Prevention, the NY Times, Men's Journal, Runner's World and Trail Runner.

The media worked and ran with Zap Fitness coaches and 2004 Olympic marathon bronze medalist Deena Kastor, of Asics and PowerBar runner Josh Cox, a top US marathoner. Attending media all received VO2 Max testing at the Zap facility.

Strategic Events organizes Stanwood & Partners' winter and summer media camps in Jackson Hole, as well as media showrooms in New York, LA and Boulder, numerous trade show events, and the train wreck that was the 2005 Stanwood & Partners Christmas party pub crawl.

Jackson Hole, WY-based Stanwood & Partners is a full-service PR firm with satellite offices in San Francisco and Boston. A full client list is on their web site: www.stanwoodpr.com.
