York, PA—Livewire Kiosk is pleased to announce that The Sports Authority, North America’s leading Sporting Goods retailer, has expanded their in-store network of ticket kiosks to Nevada and California. The self-service machines, which are based on IBM’s Anyplace Kiosk hardware, utilize Livewire’s ticketing software to automate the purchase process and significantly reduce the amount of time consumers wait in line for tickets.

The self-service retail kiosks were developed by IBM in collaboration with Livewire to deliver improved customer service, flexibility and a convenient sales tracking system for retailers and busy winter resort communities.

Due to the huge success and popularity of its initial kiosk deployment in their Colorado stores, Sports Authority installed the new kiosks in their Nevada and California locations just in time for the busy winter season.

According to Livewire, a provider of turn-key self-service kiosk technology, its ski ticketing system has been operational for over seven years, and is now used in over 200 locations throughout the U.S. market, generating millions of dollars in ski and other sports and entertainment related ticket revenues each year.
