Sponsors of Dominion Riverrock 2011 Announced

Dominion Riverrock announce several new & returning sponsors including Native, Thule, Eukanuba, Outside Magazine, Subaru of Richmond, Red Bull, DeLorme, and MGD 64 for the 3rd annual event, which will be May 13-14 in Richmond, VA.

March 2, 2011 – Dominion Riverrock, the outdoor adventure sports and river life festival, announced today several new and returning sponsors that include Native Eyewear, Thule, Eukanuba, Outside Magazine, Subaru of Richmond, Red Bull, DeLorme, and MGD 64 for the third annual event, which will be held May 13-14 in Richmond, Virginia.

Dominion Riverrock is a two-day festival that will celebrate Richmond's vibrant and active river life. The event will boast a series of sporting competitions including trail running, mountain biking, bouldering, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, freestyle biking and ultimate air dogs, along with musical performances, food vendors and exhibits.

Premier outdoor sunglasses and sports goggles provider, Native Eyewear, will again serve as the title sponsor of the freestyle bike competition at Dominion Riverrock. The Native Freestyle Bike event will be held on a course designed by world-class professional freeride and mountain bike rider Jeff Lenosky, who is also sponsored by Native Eyewear. Lenosky will manage the competition, which will play host to several Native Eyewear branded contests and giveaways for spectators.

Thule has come on board in 2011 as the title sponsor of the Thule Urban Assault, a mountain bike race through the James River Park trails, considered one of the most technically challenging urban trail systems.

Eukanuba returns to Dominion Riverrock as the sponsor of Eukanuba Ultimate Air Dogs. The competition features canines competing for distance, catching and fetching from a dock into a pool, creating a spectacle for people of all ages.

Outside Magazine has been named the official media partner of Dominion Riverrock. The festival will be featured in a full page ad in the magazine's April edition.

Subaru of Richmond will serve as the official automobile of Dominion Riverrock and is planning various on-site sponsorship activations such as sporting equipment giveaways.

Dominion Riverrock welcomes DeLorme as an event sponsor for 2010. DeLorme is eager to showcase its latest product, the Earthmate GPS PN-60w, to the estimated 25,000 attendees.

Miller Genuine Draft 64 is also new to Dominion Riverrock in 2011 as the title sponsor of the MGD 64 Filthy 5k Mud Run. All participants in the MGD 64 Filthy 5k Mud Run will receive a complimentary beer after crossing the finish line.
