BOULDER, Colo. (August 20, 2008) – Slumberjack® introduces a new series of down sleeping bags designed specifically for men, women and children. The line includes three high-performance, compact sleeping bags stuffed with 650-fill goose down, a natural insulation that is extremely warm, lightweight and compactable. In addition to the down fill, two of the bags incorporate Climashield® CL, a synthetic insulation placed in the lower portion of the bag to provide added loft and heat retention.

The new down line from Slumberjack includes the Togiak 15°F ($189.99), the Wistaria 15°F ($189.99) and the Trivor 0°F/15°F/30°F ($169.99 to $239.99). All three bags are ideal for backpacking, climbing and other outdoor adventuring that requires lightweight, compact gear that can weather tough conditions.

“We've created a line of down bags that are totally customized for the end user,” said Kenny Ballard, president of Slumberjack. “Each bag is designed and styled to meet the unique needs of men, women and children. We're not offering a one-size-fits-all solution.”

Togiak 15°F Down Sleeping Bag
The Togiak 15°F is a three-season sleeping bag filled with 650-fill goose down on the top for maximum warmth and comfort. The bottom portion of the bag is filled with Climashield CL, a synthetic insulation that helps maintain loft and eliminates cold spots, maximizing heat retention and comfort.

To further enhance the overall warmth and comfort of the bag, the Togiak incorporates a side baffle construction on the top layer and a double layer, offset construction on the bottom. The outer shell is made from a down-proof nylon material, which helps repel moisture. The liner is made from a plush poly-taffeta material.

Other features found in the Togiak include a trapezoid foot box; an insulated draft tube; easy-access drawcords; anti-snag zipper protection; and an external pocket for personal items like an MP3 player, keys or flashlight. The Togiak also comes with a compression stuff sack as well as a large cotton bag for storage. The bag measures 30 in. by 80 in. and weighs 3 lbs., 1 oz. Its carry size is 8 in. by 14 in.

Wistaria 15°F Down Sleeping Bag for Women
The Wistaria 15°F is a three-season, down sleeping bag designed specifically for women. Its unique, hourglass shape mirrors the proportions of the female body, providing added room in the torso and hips. It has extra insulation in top of the bag and foot box for added warmth and comfort.

The Wistaria includes the same features and materials as the Togiak, including a side baffle construction; down-proof nylon exterior; poly-taffeta liner; insulated draft tube; and trapezoid foot box. It also comes with a compression stuff sack and large cotton bag for storage. The Wistaria measures 28 in. by 72 in. and weighs 2 lbs., 15 oz. Its carry size is 7 in. by 14 in.

The Trivor Down Sleeping Bag for Kids (0°F/15°F/30°F)
The Trivor is a mummy-shape sleeping bag with 650-fill goose down insulation throughout. It is sized and proportioned for younger campers and comes with many of the same features as the Togiak and Wistaria. A unique feature is its fully-contoured hood, which wraps snuggly around a child's head. The hood can also be flipped inside-out to act as a pillow. To make adjustments, the bag comes with large, easy-access drawcords that are perfect for smaller hands.

The Trivor measures 30 in. by 80 in. and weighs 2 lbs., 8 oz. (30°F bag). Its carry size is
7 in. by 13 in.
