Slumberjack Re-energizes Youth Sleeping Bag Line Up

BOULDER, Colo. (August 9, 2007) – Slumberjack announces a totally redesigned lineup of youth sleeping bags that incorporate fresh new colors, designs and performance enhancements. The new line balances form and function, giving kids the fun, cool products they like, while delivering the performance and functionality parents demand.

“The move to update the line was based on two important factors,” said Geoff O'Keeffe, president of Slumberjack. “First, kids today are much more brand-savvy and fashion conscious. In addition, they're major influencers when it comes to purchasing products. As a result, we wanted to add fresh new designs, colors and styling to reflect what's cool with kids today. Second, parents want performance. When they head outdoors with family, they want to know a bag is going to keep their kids warm and dry – our new bags deliver on all fronts.”

The updated youth line up – which will be introduced at the 2007 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City, Utah – includes two new sleeping bags and a youth pillow.

40ºF Youth Sleeping Bag (MSRP $39.99)
The first product in the youth lineup is a 40-degree sleeping bag that is perfect for sleepovers or ghost stories around the campfire. The youth sleeping bag incorporates exciting new patterns and colors that appeal to young campers. Girls can choose from Pixie Stripe or Butterfly Tales, while boys can select Bayside Stripe or Woodland Block.

The youth bag is filled with Slumberloft HLâ„¢, which is a hypo-allergenic insulation providing superior warmth and loft. The exterior of the bag is constructed from a polyester-taffeta material that is durable and resistant to water, while the interior is lined with a peached-polyester material that is silky-smooth and stain resistant. The bag's quilted construction makes it extra warm and comfortable.

After use, the youth sleeping bag rolls up into the hood for easy transport and compact storage. The sleeping bag also comes with a matching poly-cotton pillow. The youth sleeping bag measures 26” x 66” and weighs 3 lbs. 4 oz.

Cozy Cuddler 45ºF Sleeping Bag (MSRP: $34.99)
Even the littlest members of the family will enjoy sleepovers and campouts with the new Cozy Cuddler 45-degree sleeping bag. The bag is made from a durable fleece material using a quilt-through construction for added warmth and comfort. It is filled with Slumberloft HL, the same insulation used in the youth sleeping bag.

The Cozy Cuddler comes in two patterns. The first is called Dreampetal, which is a yellow, pink and green flower pattern. The second is called Slumbernaut, which features a blue, green and red planetary-space pattern. The Cozy Cuddler measures 29” x 54” and weighs in at 2 lbs. 4 oz.
