Katadyn has announced that Shawn Hostetter has been named President of Katadyn North America effective January 1, 2011. Shawn has been Katadyn’s VP of Sales since KNA was formed in July, 2001. Prior to this promotion, Hostetter was responsible for all sales activities plus worked closely with Katadyn’s engineering and marketing teams to develop new products and strategies.
Alan Lizee, Katadyn North America’s President since 2001 will continue with the company as Chairman. “I am very proud of Shawn and what he has accomplished. We have worked together for 12 years and he has been an important part of our company’s success. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the Outdoor market is obvious to all who know him. Personally and professionally, I’m exited for him and know that he will do an outstanding job”.
Prior to joining Katadyn North America, Shawn was Sales Manager for PUR Drinking Water Systems. He has past experience managing specialty outdoor retail stores and ski shops. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Four Corners School in Monticello, Utah and actively supports youth outdoor programs, including the Boy Scouts of America. He is an avid backpacker, paddler, telemark/alpine/XC skier, cyclist and trail runner.
