Rory Bosio repeats win at The North Face Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc

Last week, more than 7,000 runners toed the line across the five different races of The North Face Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc. Friday, more than 2,000 of those runners with the goal of racing 104-miles circumventing the Europe's tallest mountain in what has been called "the most prestigious trail race in the world." The North Face runner Rory Bosio once again topped the women's field for the second time in two years, coming in 13th overall and besting her closest female competition by more than 90 minutes, with a time of 23h23m. Men's first-place finisher, Frenchman Francois D'Haene, also claimed a repeat win and a set a new course record with a time of 20h11m.

“The race was more challenging this year, but it’s also more rewarding,” Bosio said. “My body feels a lot more beaten up, which is down to the difficult terrain and muddy trails. I enjoyed it even more than last year. There where so many people on the course this year, even during the pouring rain, and I got a lot of energy from that.”
