San Francisco, CA – July 29, 2014 –Product Underground, a design-focused speaker series at Outdoor Retailer, is pleased to announce the industry leaders presenting at this summer’s event. Following the theme of International Outdoor Product Design, speakers include:
- Alexei Tcherepanov of Boreas Gear
- Mori Hikari of Gregory Japan
- Casey Schumacher of lululemon
- J Fidler of Fidlock
A collaboration of Tae Kim, founder and creative director of Boreas and Alite Designs and Julie Atherton, principal of JAM Media Collective, Product Underground has grown out of the desire to connect outdoor design and product professionals in a creative and inspiring way. It began with a group of like-minded show attendees having cocktails at the bar of the Shilo Inn to discuss the day’s show and the industry, and has grown into a highly anticipated event, gathering more than 300 attendees at ORWM14.
“Product Underground is a great way for all these outdoor designers, developers and factory folks at OR to share their stories, perspectives and tequila,” said Tae Kim
Product Underground presenters discuss their greatest successes and failures, as well as what motivates and challenges them. Previous speakers include founders of Osprey Packs, Outlier, BioLite and designers from Mountain Hardwear, CamelBak, The North Face and others. This year, Product Underground will be RSVP only and limited to designers, developers, engineers and product people in the outdoor industry.
