BORDENTOWN, N.J., (June 1, 2011) – On Saturday June 4, more than 200 lucky outdoor enthusiasts and trail lovers around the country will receive one of Princeton Tec’s most popular headlamps – the Fuel. Showing support for American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day®, Princeton Tec will donate 250 Fuel headlamps to the nationwide event in celebration of trails.
“The American Hiking Society is a steward of trails that spearheads commendable work and we’re excited to support their efforts” said Princeton Tec VP of International Sales Gerard Armendinger. “It’s important to get people outside, enjoying nature and staying healthy. And of course, headlamps allow for outdoor experiences to last twice as long. Some of the greatest experiences we’ve had on trails have been in the dark of night with our headlamps on.”
The founding member of Princeton Tec’s “Family” of lights, the powerful, lightweight and sleek Fuel headlamp pumps out 43 lumens and has a burntime of 146 hours. Its simplicity and user-friendly construction make it one of Princeton Tec’s leading headlamps. Joining the Fuel in the “Family” of lights are: the new Bot, Byte and Remix headlamps.
For the past 30 years, American Hiking Society has worked vigorously on behalf of the nation’s trails and those who enjoy them. The organizations signature trail awareness program, National Trails Day®, inspires the public and trail enthusiasts nationwide to discover, learn about and celebrate trails while participating in outdoor activities, clinics, exhibits and trail work projects. Outdoor enthusiasts, trail clubs, land management agencies, businesses and others come together the first Saturday of each June on National Trails Day® to celebrate trails, recognize volunteers and maintain local trails.
