BORDENTOWN, NJ – In 1975, Saturday Night Live premiered on NBC with host George Carlin, tennis star Arthur Ashe defeated Jimmy Connors in the finals at Wimbledon and Margaret Thatcher was the first woman elected to lead Britain's Conservative Party.
However, the real news that year happened in Bordentown, New Jersey, where SCUBA enthusiast William Stephens developed his first underwater SCUBA light. With that invention, 1975 went down in history as the year Princeton Tec was born.
“Reflecting on 35 years of Princeton Tec puts a big smile on my face,†says Hal Stephens, owner of Princeton Tec. “A lot has happened over the course of three-plus decades in the business and the support we've received over this time has been amazing. We're certainly looking forward to continuing our strong tradition into the future.â€
At Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2010, Princeton Tec invites you to join them in celebrating 35 years of pioneering new lighting technologies. The 35th Anniversary party takes place Wednesday, August 4th from 4-6 p.m., at the Princeton Tec booth (No. 17001). Enjoy FREE beer, limited edition pint glasses and, of course, lots of lights.
Princeton Tec, still a family-owned company, now offers more than 50 lights, built with the core philosophies of innovation, quality and high performance. The company continues its commitment to developing and incorporating the best technology available into their lights as it introduces the new, compact 35-lumen Byte headlamp and 100-lumen Push bike light that boasts 260-degress of visibility for fall 2010/spring 2011.
From the world's highest peaks to the deepest ocean floors to pedaling two wheels on every continent, Princeton Tec's lights assist and inspire professional athletes and novices alike to pursue their goals. For more information, check www.princetontec.com or Facebook and Twitter.
