As a panel speaker of the Prime Source Forum 2013, under the topic of "Success After Succession - How will the next generation of owners take their family businesses forward," and as a holder of many other leading industry positions, such as the Vice Chairman of the Sustainable Fashion Business Consortium (SFBC); Board Member of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC); Executive Committee Member/Director of the Hong Kong Intimate Apparel Industries' Association (HKIAIA); Convener in The Working Group on Innovation and Design of the Fashion Industry Development Committee (FIDC) of the HKSAR Legislative Council; Sustainability Working Group Voting Member of the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA); Compliance Committee of the Global Apparel, Footwear and Textiles Industry (GAFTI); and International Judge of EcoChic Design Awards 2012 and 2013, Lee displays his competency to excel in the role as the panel moderator is more than enough.

Lee tackled the panel from an innovator's point of view. He questioned panel speakers regarding their innovative desires, motives, and direction. Exclaiming "leadership and passion, along with adaptation and innovation is key to his personal and business development," Lee advocated that "innovation and product development require a great combination of creativity and scientific analysis. Some companies have great new product concepts but struggle to put them into the marketplace; others have an efficient process for commercialization but struggle to find their next big idea. Achieving a combination of inspiration and execution, as well as striking that balance is difficult.”

About Prime Source Forum Hong Kong

Prime Source Forum (PSF) does not limit to the sourcing aspect of the supply chain only but sources of information of the fashion industry. Since 2006, it has been held in Hong Kong once a year, bringing together more than 400 senior executives from 20+ countries to discuss the challenges and opportunities that manufacturers, suppliers and retailers are facing in the supply chain of the apparel industry. For this reason, it is a forum and not a conference as delegate involvement is an important element of its success. This international event offers ample opportunity for delegates to network with their peers, mingle with expert panelists and exchange ideas with their peers and competitors alike on issues of mutual interest. From 2012, the profile of PSF has been extended to the fashion industry, which follows discussions with major players in both industries who appreciate the similarities in sourcing opportunities and market development for apparel and footwear practitioners. Other two fashion-related events, which are collocated with PSF, are Manufacturing, Material and Technology, and Fashion Access (, covering raw material to finished products from head to toe.
