Precision Travel Werx Delivers Prize Trailer to Big Mountain Enduro Winner

Robert Garcia rolls into 2014 season with spoils of master’s-class victory

July 10th, 2014 — Appleton, Wisc. — Snow and rain had already set in on Southern Utah when Robert Garcia won the hotly contested master’s class of the Big Mountain Enduro series on the world-famous Whole Enchilada trail in Moab last fall. He collected all his prizes but one, wanting to wait to take delivery of his Precision Travel Werx sport cargo trailer after the winter ended and riding season was once again upon the Colorado resident.

This July, Garcia officially kicked off his year on the bike with the delivery of his new Atlas 8 trailer. The unit came complete with a custom painted bronze metallic finish and a roof rack system to carry his bikes in the upcoming enduro season.

“I was able to get down to Colorado for one of the early rounds in the series and Robert sought me out and let me know he was gunning to win the trailer,” said Precision Travel Werx Founder Larry Brown. “I was thrilled when he won the overall master’s class because I knew he had big plans for the trailer and would be a great ambassador to have driving around the West with an Atlas 8.”

Garcia’s strong 3rd place finish on the varied conditions of Moab’s La Sal Mountains and slickrock desert cemented his overall win in the 40-49 class, having been strong and consistent throughout the series’ previous four races in New Mexico and Colorado.

“I had a great year in the Big Mountain Enduro Series and was really motivated to take the title,” Garcia said. “No question having the trailer as part of the winnings was huge, I immediately knew it would be great for road trips to events like enduros as well as riding trips with friends and family all season long.”

Garcia’s Atlas 8 sport cargo trailer has a number of features perfect for traveling mountain bikers, including the option for a pop-up-style tent to act as a base camp, powerful gas-assist shocks on the hatches that makes accessing gear in the two compartments easy even with bikes on top and a lightweight construction that can be towed behind nearly any car on the road today.

“Precision Travel Werx was a natural fit to participate in the fast-growing sport of enduro and the inaugural year of our rebranded series,” said Big Mountain Enduro Executive Director Brandon Ontiveros, who also used an Atlas 8 throughout the season to help get timing and support equipment, bikes and other gear to each event. “People are traveling around to come to great events like ours and having a convenient tool like an Atlas 8 trailer makes that experience better for everyone.”
