PowerBar Announces Partnership with High Road Sports and Team Columbia

(Glendale, Cali) – PowerBar proudly announces a new relationship with High Road Sports Inc., and their men and women's professional cycling teams known as Team Columbia. With 21 athletes aged 26 and under, Team Columbia is the youngest team at the top level of professional cycling and represents the national champions of the Germany, Australia, Luxembourg, Czech Republic, Sweden, Denmark, Canada, Great Britain, Italy and Norway.

As an official partner of High Road Sports, PowerBar will supply nutritional products to the men's and women's cycling teams for the next three years.

This year Team Columbia men's cycling team has won 83 races including exciting stage wins in the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia, overall wins of Tour of Down Under, Tour de Georgia, Sachsen tour, Tour de l'Ain, Tour of Ireland and the Deutschland Tour as well as winning the one day classic, Fleche Wallone. . The women's team has 64 wins in 2008 including four rounds of the UCI World Cup Series plus the overall series, stage wins in Tour de l'Aude, Giro d'Italia, Route de France, and the overall wins of Tour of Montreal, Thuringen Rundfarht, Route de France, Giro della Toscana, Raboster and the Triple Crown.They finished the season ranked as the number one team in the world.
