Portsmouth Polar Plunge Supports 46th Annual Rotary Thanksgiving Dinner

The first 20 plungers at Wallis Beach will win two free tickets to Warren Miller's Line of Decent, presented by Volkswagen

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – Nov. 17, 2017

Portsmouth Polar Plunge

For the fifth straight year, the Warren Miller Road Crew is proud to announce their annual Polar Plunge, Nov. 22 at noon on Wallis Sands Beach, in support of the Portsmouth Rotary Thanksgiving Dinner.

The first 20 plungers to bring a non-perishable food item and join the road crew in a bone-chilling Atlantic dip will receive two free tickets to that night’s 9 p.m. showing of Warren Miller’s Line of Descent, presented by Volkswagen, at The Music Hall.

Petey’s Summertime Seafood and Bar (1323 Ocean Blvd, Rye, N.H.) will host the “After the Plunge Party with the Warren Miller Road Crew," offering a soft shell twin lobster dinner for the special price of $22.99. Proceeds from the event will support the Portsmouth Rotary Thanksgiving Dinner.

Donations of non-perishable food items will go to the Portsmouth Rotary Thanksgiving Dinner at St. Nicholas’ Greek Church, where Dan Ohnsman, the Warren Miller Road Crew manager, and his team will be volunteering the following day. Any additional items will be donated to local food shelves.

“We travel non-stop for three months all over the country every year. Coming to Portsmouth is always a high point because we get to relax, give thanks, connect with the community and contribute to a great cause,” said Ohnsman.

Line of Descent attendees will receive a free lift ticket to Sugarbush, Smugglers’ Notch, Abenaki Ski Area and Steamboat as well as a free or discounted Flex Pass to Gunstock Mountain Resort, and a special discount at Putnam’s Ski & Snowboard Shop.

Line of Descent is showing at The Music Hall in Portsmouth Nov. 21 at 8 p.m., and at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on both Nov. 22 and 23. Check out WarrenMiller.com for more info.
