Steamboat, Colo., -- (October 6, 2010)– Point6™, designer and manufacturer of premium merino wool socks, is proud to support the 12th annual New Paltz Climbing Film Festival on October 9, 2010.

The festival will take place at 7:30 pm this Saturday in the New Paltz Lecture Center Hall at State University of New York (SUNY). The 2010 Reel Rock Film Tour, known for delivering the year's most exciting climbing and adventure films to audiences in over 100 cities worldwide, is a highlight of this year's event.

Reel Rock is going to take attendees around the world on a jaw dropping display of some of the gutsiest moves on some of the most intense rock and snow faces ever climbed, in celebration of its 5th birthday. In addition, the festival will be host to climbing clinics, a “Gunk Grunt” pull-up contest, sponsor demos, awards, and more.

Point6 will provide their performance merino wool socks, allowing attendees to experience the benefits of merino firsthand. Their complete line of performance socks includes running, hiking and ski specific styles that offer maximum moisture and temperature management to keep feet dry and prevent blisters during life's most rugged adventures.

“Point6 is excited to partner with the New Paltz Climbing Film Festival,” said Betsy Seabert, International Sales and Marketing Director with Point6. “Our line offers several styles specifically geared toward alpine pursuits, including trekking and skiing, so it's a great opportunity to showcase our product to this key demographic.”

To purchase festival tickets in advance at a reduced price, visit RockandSnow.com or call 845.255.1311. If available, tickets will be sold at the Lecture Center on Saturday October 9th after 6:30 pm.
