Petzl, the leader in lighting and verticality products, today introduced the Ouistiti harness: an easily adjustable harness for children less than 66 lbs.

“Petzl has had full-body kid harnesses long before climbing's popularity boom. We designed the OUISTITI to offer a modernized harness that is more comfortable, user-friendly, and economic,” said Ben Eaton, marketing manager for Petzl. “With climbing gyms popping up everywhere, more and more families are getting into the sport and involving their toddlers. The convenient design of this harness allows you to put your child in it and leave it on until the climbing session is over."

The harness is relatively tamperproof. Parents can easily adjust it to the proper fit via the DoubleBack buckles on the shoulder straps. Secondary adjustments can be made via the back of the harness. All DoubleBack buckles are out of reach of the child.

Holding and shaking the harness from the orange dorsal point facilitates the proper donning. The semi-rigid structure is color-coded, with a gray foam interior and blue exterior. The harness does not require connectors to remain fastened, allowing the child to wear the harness on and off the wall without hindrance.

The OUISTITI harness costs $59.95 USD and is available in January 2018. For more information, please visit www.petzl.com.
