Outdoor gear and fashion step into summer TV spotlight on RSN Outdoors

Guest host Drew Simmons of Pale Morning Media highlights more than 40 outdoor adventure and leisure products in front of a potential audience of 26 million cable viewers

In the first week of June, the summer episodes of RSN Outdoors went live, bringing a blend of outdoor tips, special features, and real-time local weather and conditions to more than 100 RSN Resort Television affiliates nationwide.

Filmed in late May at RSN studios in Portland, Maine, the shows also feature a series of in-studio outdoor gear and fashion segments, keeping American outdoor enthusiasts engaged and entertained through the profile of more than 45 new products for the summer season.

Produced and hosted by Drew Simmons of Pale Morning Media, LLC, the special gear segments include some of the most stylish, innovative, and legendary names in the outdoor world.

“Our goal is to key on major trends in outdoor equipment and fashion, to highlight some exemplary pieces, and to drive traffic to the specialty retailers that live near the RSN affiliate network,” said Simmons. “With their national reach, RSN Television is the only media opportunity in the outdoor world that can provide such a massive amount of impressions within such a focused community.”

Pale Morning Media, LLC was founded in 2001 as a public relations and creative communications firm specializing in the outdoor industry. Today, Pale Morning Media, LLC, is based in the Mad River Valley of Vermont, and works with national and regional clients on a project and retainer basis.

Appearing in all seven episodes of the show, Simmons's four-minute guest segments shared the screen with hosts Doug Lewis and Kelley Lewis, and covered topics including “Alternative Transportation,” “New and Bamboo”, “Outdoor Essentials”, “Take me to the River,” “Adventure Racing”, “Light and Lean,” and “Wicked Convenient.

Products highlighted in the summer season of RSN Outdoors include Ahnu Footwear, Kelty packs, Smith Optics, Horny Toad apparel, Camelbak, Salomon, Buff headwear, Arbor longboards, Kustom Kruisers, Quiksilver, Big Agnes, New Balance apparel, High Gear, Jetboil, Lululemon apparel, Freestyle watches, Kona mountain bikes, Head tennis raquets, Northwave shoes, Momentum & St. Moritz watches, Dagger kayaks, AT Paddles, Harmony PFDs, and Sea to Summit stuff sacks.

The summer season of RSN Outdoors includes seven original episodes. Each of the seven shows will air at least twice per week from June through October, for a potential unduplicated audience of 26 million cable subscribers.
