NEW YORK, NY. (April 2, 2007) - TrendCast, a made for the media product showcase, has become a spring staple for NY based gear and fitness members of the media over the past six years.

This year, TrendCast is scheduled to take place May 17 at Sports Club LA in Rockefeller Center.

Media members attending the event are looking for the latest in fitness products, lifestyle apparel and outdoor gear to highlight in their publications next fall and winter.

At last year's event nearly 70 members of the media, representing outlets such as MTV, CBS Morning Show, Oprah Magazine, Men's Journal, Shape, Maxim and Playboy, to name just a few, attended the three media hour event.

The goal of TrendCast is to give the media a taste of some of the innovation that is on display in both the fitness and outdoor industries.

TrendCast is limited to 20 brands so that the media in attendance have an opportunity to meet with each of the brands in attendance. Last year brands such as Icon Fitness, Horizon Fitness, Octane Fitness, Textronics, maker of the Numetrex Sports Bra, and illumiNITE apparel anchored the fitness end of the event while brands such as Tecnica, Marker, Volkl, Tubbs Snowshoes and Sigg anchored the outdoor portion of the event.
