New Coleman First Aid Kits Offer Popular Items at a Great Value

Wisconsin Pharmacal Company is launching three new first aid kits under the Coleman® name -- one of the most trusted and widely-purchased brands in outdoor activities.

Anyone heading outdoors can now rest a bit easier because Wisconsin Pharmacal Company is launching an all-new line of first aid kits under the Coleman® name – one of the most trusted and widely-purchased brands in outdoor activities. The new kits are designed to meet the needs of all consumers, from weekend warriors to more serious outdoor adventure seekers. They offer a helpful assortment of the most popular first aid components in all categories, including wound treatment, medications, essential tools, and more. All three kits will be available in early spring 2011 and will range in price from $9.99 to $24.99. Here's a quick overview of each of the new kits:

-- Coleman Day Tripper First Aid Kit – This 74-piece kit comes in a compact, hard-sided case measuring approximately 6 inches high by 5.75 inches wide. It holds a variety of the most basic components, including bandages, ointment, Ibuprofen tablets, safety pins, a tweezers, insect bite treatment, and antiseptic wipes. The Day Tripper, which will retail for $9.99, can be easily opened with one hand for those who are injured or carrying a child.

-- Coleman Weekender First Aid Kit – This 160-piece kit offers more of the components found in the Day Tripper as well as several additions, including Antihistamine tablets, rubber gloves, knuckle bandages, medical tape, gauze pads, an instant cold pack, and a metal scissors. It features a durable, hard-sided case measuring approximately 5.75 inches high by 7 inches wide and will retail for $17.99.

-- Coleman Expedition First Aid Kit – The Expedition Kit, the largest of the three new models, is ideal for longer trips or larger groups. It measures approximately 7 inches high by 8.5 inches wide and carries a suggested retail price of $24.99. It features a unique, easy-to-open, semi-hard case with ‘EZ-Find' compartments for enhanced organization. In addition to greater quantities of the components found in the other two kits, the Expedition also adds a Glow Stick, which can be activated quickly for use as a rescue signal or simply to improve nighttime vision.

“Our new Coleman first aid kits were designed specifically for weekend adventure seekers, family campers, and other outdoor enthusiasts who understand the importance of being prepared with a well-planned assortment of quality first aid components,” said Mike Kermendy, vice president of marketing for Wisconsin Pharmacal Company, a Coleman licensee and the exclusive manufacturer of the new first aid kits. “At the same time, the majority of these folks don't necessarily want to spend a lot of money on an item that – if things go as planned – they won't have to use. That's where our kits come in – one of our primary objectives was to strike a perfect balance between value and overall utility.”

Those interested in purchasing one of the new Coleman first aid kits will be able to find them this spring near other Coleman-branded products, such as tents, sleeping bags, camp stoves, and lanterns. In addition, anyone seeking protection against mosquitoes and other biting bugs should consider trying the new Coleman Repellents, which were launched last year. The complete Coleman Repellents family of products encompasses more than 20 items, including several insect repellent formulas, a 40-Hour Citronella Lantern, a Yard & Camp Fogger, an SPF 30 Sunscreen, a Cooler & Gear Deodorizer, and much more.
