It's been a good year for Losi 3Pâ„¢; this award follows its recent recognition as Best All-Around 3 Person Tent from Backpacker and Gear of the Year from Outside.

According to the opening paragraph of their Gear of the Year section, “An Everest-size pile of new products materializes every year, each one claiming to be the next big thing. The majority are unremarkably satisfactory; a few are laughably pathetic. Rarest of all are the 25 superlative objects on these six pages.”

“You can have a tent that's lightweight but cramped, a tent that's roomy but heavy, or a NEMO Losi 3P™, which ticks both boxes. It weighs only 5.9 lbs. but sleeps three in cavernous comfort thanks to 50 square feet of space and a four-foot ceiling - enough elbow room for eight men to play poker on a rainy night. Dual 13 square foot vestibules keep your packs dry, and built-in organizer pockets prevent small stuff from being lost,” says Men's Journal.

“We are very proud to be recognized by Men's Journal with the Gear of the Year award for Losi 3P™. We set out to design a 3 person tent that would provide the greatest amount of space, features and comfort in a package weighing less than 2 lbs per person. Losi 3P™ accomplished that mission. The success of Losi™ shows us we've been moving in the right direction and encourages us to keep taking risks and press ahead as innovators,” said NEMO president and founder, Cam Brensinger.

The December/January issue of Men's Journal is on newsstands now.

Finishing its fifth year of sales, NEMO is doubling production for 2010 based on retailer, consumer and military demand. Best known for its innovative AirSupported Technology® utilizing airbeams instead of traditional aluminum tent poles, NEMO's product line is expanding from 12 to 20 tents next year. Its sleeping pad line will also grow, adding a new model to the existing line.

NEMO Equipment, Inc. was founded in 2002 by Cam Brensinger with the commitment to bringing the highest level of design and engineering to the world of outdoor adventure sports. The company produces lines of air-supported and traditional poled tents for the backcountry, accessories, sleeping pads and pillows. Besides AirSupported Technology®, NEMO has patents pending for its lightweight pumps, washable floor liners, condensation curtains and many more features and accessories which add functionality and comfort to its shelters. NEMO tents can be found at local, national and international retailers, including Eastern Mountain Sports, REI, and Moosejaw.
