Native Eyewear Boosts Mountain Bike Sponsorship Program With the Addition of New Hampshire’s Highland Mountain Bike Park
(Northfield, New Hampshire) – April 5, 2011–Native Eyewear, the premier sunglass and goggle brand, is proud to announce its 2011 sponsorship of the Highland Mountain Bike Park in Northfield, New Hampshire. The Northfield-based park and training center offers state-of-the-art facilities including an indoor and outdoor training center and camp programs catering to all types of riders. This sponsorship is an extension of Native’s community outreach efforts and partnerships with events and athletes that bring mountain sports to the people.
“We’ve spent a considerable amount of time marrying our brand with like-minded venues and properties and we’ve found a true partner with the Highland Mountain Bike Park,” said Jax Swartz, Native Eyewear Marketing Director. “Through this relationship we are able to support a park that develops riders of all ages and skill-sets and provide them with access to our products that offer protection and visibility while enhancing performance on the trails.”
Native’s sponsorship will include support of onsite events including the 2011 Claymore Challenge Mountain Bike Festival and onsite appearances from elite Native athletes including the God-Father of Freeriding, Jeff Lenosky, Highland local and pro-freerider Aaron Chase, as well as urban/dirt jump pro Adam Hauck. Native will also be on hand to kick off festivities opening weekend on May 7th and 8th with athlete demos and giveaways for attendees.
“Highland is excited to be partnered with Native Eyewear,” said park owner, Mark Hayes. “The brand has embraced the sport by supporting the riders, the places they ride, and events they compete in. They are a cool group with a personality that matches the fun and laid-back vibe of the park. I look forward to working with Native in 2011.”
Continued Swartz, “We are also passionate about fostering youth excitement for sports like mountain biking. Our partnership with the Highland Mountain Bike Park allows us to get in front of kids at annual camps and show our support for their athletic endeavors early on. We are in an even better position to kick start youth engagement this year with the launch of two extra-small styles, Clara and Apex. We love that we can provide youth with the right eyewear for their mountain bike kits at the very front end of their participation to start building good habits.”
