La Sportiva announces today that their Exum River has received the “2007 Best of Adventure” gear award. The technical canyoneering shoe thrives in wet, abusive conditions and is featured as the definitive “Canyon Shoe” in the Dec. 2006 issue.

Just some of the props given to the Exum River are the comfort and stability offered on both dry land and slickrock, as well as the TPU lock down strap that offers lace management and security in moving water. The FriXion® XR and Dot Rubber Trail Tread hybrid sole also gives this shoe a distinct advantage over other shoes in this category.

The gear was tested and reviewed by the editorial staff of National Geographic Adventure. The December 2006 issue features the full list of “Best of Adventure” winners, as well as their website www.nationalgeographic.com/adventure.
