Masters North America has named Paul Curran, experienced marketing engineer with Buzzitchen Media, as public relations agency of record to support the Italy-based trekking pole maker with its product launch into North America.

Masters® Trekking Poles NA has named Paul Curran, experienced marketing engineer with Buzzitchen Media, as public relations agency of record to support the Italy-based company with its new product launch into North America at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, August 2-5, 2012, in Salt Lake City.

Located in Bend, Oregon, Masters NA is led by industry veteran Miles Munger, and is the exclusive North American distributor for Masters, an Italy-made crafter of world class trekking and ski poles. The NA operation will specialize in performance based trekking poles with a complete line of innovative models for year-round use.

Buzzitchen Media’s Paul Curran brings more than 12 years of marketing experience in the outdoor, running and multi-media industries. As Masters expands its dealer base into the U.S. market, the sales/marketing and storytelling experience for well-established brands and startups will greatly benefit Master’s foothold for growth in the U.S. market.

"Buzzitchen Media offers us a personable approach to embracing and gaining friends within the outdoor lifestyle press, industry news, and fitness media. Paul Curran’s proven track record with well-respected outdoor companies, as well as startups and media platforms gives us confidence in our North American product launch. We are looking forward to the media and dealer outreach he has planned for Outdoor Retailer," said Miles Munger, president of Masters NA.

Masters is positioned to create a strong following by communicating its 35 years of Italian-made heritage and high-end trekking pole innovations. Additionally, the company has an industry leading track record for respecting the environment. Two examples that will resonate well in the U.S. include coloring all trekking poles with lead-free paints and generating yearlong energy from the factory’s 555 solar panels.

"The Masters lineup has some of the best trekking poles available for outdoor professionals, fitness walkers and hiking enthusiasts. I’ve personally been using the Summit Light (developed for summer trekking with heavy loads) this summer while exploring mountains in the Pacific Northwest. I’ve been amazed by how lightweight and secure they feel, keeping me upright and confident for covering ground more quickly and comfortably. I look forward to sharing the Masters story and building a long-term partnership with Masters NA," adds Paul Curran, the voice of Buzzitchen Media.

Masters will showcase its full line of trekking poles for North America at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in the New Exhibitor Pavilion, booth number PV319. The Expedition, Peak and Summit lines are primed to compete for space in the outdoor specialty market.
