Boulder, Colo. – Skirt Sports, creator of the original running skirt and one of the nation's top women's fitness apparel brands, is excited to announce the return of the Skirt Chaser 5k Race Series to Denver on Saturday, June 23, 5-8 p.m. at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

The fifth year for the innovative race, Skirt Chaser 5k Denver will begin with an all-women's start, followed by a men's “skirt chaser” start three minutes later. The race concludes with a three-hour long block party featuring That 80s Band to celebrate the event.

“The Skirt Chaser 5k is unlike any other race, mixing racing, flirting and entertainment for a guaranteed great time,” said Nicole DeBoom, Skirt Sports founder and CEO. “The event attracts couples who are celebrating their anniversary and singles looking for love. We're proud to say that at least one couple who met at last year's Skirt Chaser 5k is still dating!”

The 5k run is followed by a block party with live music, beer provided by Avery Brewing, and lots of great food options, along with flirty games and a fashion show sponsored by Skirt Sports. Admission to the block party is included with each race entry. Race packages include the option to upgrade to Skirt Sports' high-performance, yet flirty, line for women or exclusive Skirt Chaser products for men.

Registration for the Skirt Chaser 5K can be found at www.skirtsports.com/skirtchaser5k/denver, along with details of pre-race and race day events. Entries are limited, so early registration is encouraged. Non-runners can join in the fun with a $15 entrance fee to the block party, and volunteers are welcomed.

The Skirt Chaser 5k Denver event will benefit Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue.
