LED LENSER USA Expands Pro Team for 2016/17

Three extreme athletes commit their support and expertise to the brand.

Portland, OR—Feb. 16, 2016LED LENSER USA, an innovative brand creating LED lights for the dedicated, is pleased to announce three new members of its global Pro Team. Freeride mountain biker Darren Bierrecloth, ultra runner Florian Neuschwander and dogsled musher Silvia Furtwängler join the 2016/17 LED LENSER Pro Team of athletes and outdoor enthusiasts.

More than just brand ambassadors, the team will work alongside the R&D Department to engineer the highest quality flashlights and headlamps. The team also includes Eric Hjorleifson (freeskier), Christian Schiester (ultra runner & adventurer), Jan Fitschen (long-distance runner), Tobias Woggon (mountain biker) and Julia Hofmann (mountain bikers).

These athletes are deeply involved in product development, continually helping to improve and optimize LED LENSER’s headlamps and flashlights. Their feedback is used to develop products with practical relevance. With its increased commitment to athletics, LED LENSER aims to increase awareness of the brand and its products, especially for extreme sport and outdoor enthusiasts.

New Pro Team Members

The world-class freeride mountain biker Darren “The Claw” Berrecloth, of BC, Canada, specializes in big mountain lines and boasts a mighty display of trophies. After winning third place at the Red Bull Rampage in 2002, the professional mountain biker achieved international recognition and has since been lauded as one of the best in the freeriding circuit.

Florian Neuschwander is a force to be reckoned with on the German running circuit. First at the TransRockies Run, and the Wings for Life World Run, gained him accolades and respect in the running world. 

One of the best mushers in the world, Silvia Furtwängler is a German native lives with her family and 43 huskies on an isolated Norwegian plateau, where she trains. Last year she participated in the Volga Quest, an extremely demanding race that spans over 500 km through Russia. The only woman on an eight-person expedition, she secured victory as the last-standing musher.
