Individuals can enter their own original outdoor photos with a “Wild” theme or simply vote for favorites. The top five photos go to our judges who choose the Grand Prize Winner. The People’s Choice Winner is the photo with the most positive comments (however, no prize for this distinction). Deadline to enter is June 11. Deadline to vote is June 18th and winners will be announced June 30th. Photos in the gallery are archived by month. Start by going to the photo contest website: www.sierraclub.org/photos

Sierra Club TRAILS (trails.sierraclub.org) is a free and open online community that features a searchable collection of trails dedicated to those who enjoy hiking, biking, boating, skiing and other outdoor activities. TRAILS contains vast and detailed information constantly improved upon by community members who have personal knowledge and experience with the trails they help to describe.

The First Lady’s Let’s Move Outside website is officially up and links three times to Sierra Club TRAILS. “The National Trails System contains over 1,000 multipurpose recreational trails across all 50 states. One of the best ways to experience these trails is through local events and programs that bring people together in the great outdoors. A wealth of free, online resources is available to help your family plan an outdoor adventure and share your stories.”
