Team Jackson Kayak wore out the podium at the recently concluded Third Annual Reno River Festival. Making a clean sweep of the freestyle division, Jackson Kayak founder and president Eric “EJ” Jackson finished first, followed by teammates Stephen Wright and Jay Kincaid who finished second and third respectively. Jackson and Wright paddle the Jackson Kayak All-Star while Kincaid rides the Super Star.

Also in a Star, Jackson's 16-year-old daughter Emily took home third place in the women's freestyle invitational, trailing renowned pros Tanya Faux who won and Nikki Kelly who took second.

In men's boatercross action, EJ Jackson and Jay Kincaid, both paddling the Jackson Kayak Super Hero model, finished first and third respectively in a championship heat that included Bryan Kirk who finished second and Andrew Holcomb in fourth.

Team JK's Ruth Gordon, paddling a hero (making her a heroine?) took third place in the women's boatercross behind Kelly and Faux who placed first and second, respectively.

For EJ Jackson's son Dane, the event marked the first time the 12-year-old has been invited to compete in a pro men's division. The youngest Jackson finished 11th in prelims, missing the cut to advance to final rounds.

Colorado is next in the competition crosshairs of Team JK; expect to see them at the Paddler Magazine Pro Invitational May 29 and Teva Mountain Games at Vail May 31 – June 4.
